Zatara Press is pleased to announce that the following individuals have been selected to be included in the 2015 Call To Entry Group Book:

Giulia Bianchi
Aaron Canipe
Laura Cheneult
Dagmar Kolatschny
Michael Phillips

The basis behind the group book each year is to take a themed prompt, and see how the selected works can become assembled into an affordable soft cover book in the design spirit of ZP.

This book plays a dual function by giving the artists a platform to display a body of their work in a shortened format (shortened primarily due to the number of photographs able to be shown), while also allowing for the photographs to be curatorially recontextualized as something uniquely different or secondary to their primary intentions.  The artists’ collaborative input is encouraged in regards to the sequence and intention of the photographs.
The group book also provides ZP with the intriguing challenge to assemble visually dissimilar but spiritually congruent bodies of work into a relaxed organic statement around the themed prompt.

At current the book is planned for an August 1 release.

Book Descriptions:

Each year, Zatara Press produces an affordable Call To Entry Group Book around a themed prompt.  From the submissions, a selection of photographs will be sequenced and edited into a small digital press perfect bound conceptual artist’s book around the unique interactions of the photographs.  Each selected photographer will receive 4 copies of the book.
